Adult Autism Evaluations

You deserve an autism evaluation that actually sees you and your lived experiences, not just checkboxes on a form. I offer neurodiversity-affirming autism assessments for adults who are looking for clarity, validation, and a deeper understanding of who they are.

What to expect…

Standardized Tools

I use gold-standard assessment instruments that are research-backed and adult-appropriate, adapted for sensory, cultural, and communication differences.

In-Depth Clinical Interview

We go far beyond surface-level questions. I take time to understand your developmental history, communication style, sensory profile, masking strategies, and internal experiences.

Comprehensive written report and answers

You’ll receive a clear, detailed report that includes diagnostic impressions, your story, and individualized recommendations for support, accommodations, and next steps.

I’ll answer questions along the way so you won’t be alone in this process.

The Real-Life Benefits You Can Expect

    • Connect the dots between your lifelong experiences and your neurotype—finally understanding why things have felt the way they have.

    • Replace confusion and self-blame with language and frameworks that make sense for how your brain works.

    • Discover that the things you thought were "just anxiety" or "just being too sensitive" may actually be valid neurodivergent traits.

    • Learn that your struggles weren’t your fault. They were often the result of surviving in systems not designed for you.

    • Understand your relational style, like how you connect with others, how you recharge, and what overstimulation looks like for you.

    • Navigate friendships, partnerships, or family dynamics with more clarity and self-trust.

    • Learn to self-advocate at work or school with practical language for asking for what you need (without overexplaining or masking).

    • Reduce miscommunication and social burnout by understanding your own boundaries and rhythms.

    • Recognize the signs of autistic burnout and learn how to recover and prevent it before you hit a wall.

    • Create daily routines that support your energy and executive functioning, not fight against them.

    • Learn sensory strategies that help you regulate your nervous system (without shame or judgment).

    • Build rest and recovery into your schedule on purpose, instead of waiting until you're completely depleted.

    • Feel seen, heard, and validated (maybe for the first time) by a professional who understands masking, misdiagnosis, and the double empathy problem.

    • Reframe the story you’ve told yourself about being “too much,” “too sensitive,” or “not trying hard enough.”

    • Find healing in knowing you were never broken, just unsupported.

    • Name and claim your neurodivergent identity, with or without the need to share it with others right away.

    • Walk away with practical strategies tailored to your sensory, emotional, and cognitive needs.

    • Get recommendations for accommodations and supports at home, at work, and in therapy.

    • Receive a written report you can reference in the future when things get overwhelming or when you need to advocate for yourself.

    • Gain access to trusted referrals, neurodivergent-friendly resources, and follow-up care options if desired.

    • Let go of the pressure to mask or perform to be "good enough."

    • Start designing a life around your actual needs, values, and strengths. Not what others expect from you.

    • Find joy in your special interests, routines, or rituals that others may not understand… but that are deeply meaningful to you.

    • Begin to unlearn survival-based habits and build something softer, safer, and more sustainable.

You don’t have to justify why things have always felt harder. You just deserve to understand why.

FAQs

  • Many adults explore autism after years of feeling "off" but not knowing why. Common signs include sensory sensitivities, social fatigue, intense interests, trouble with change, emotional overwhelm, and a lifelong sense of difference. If you resonate with autism experiences, it's worth exploring.

  • Aboslutely! It is a common misconception that Autism needs to be diagnosed in childhood. While the symptoms must be present throughout your life, the diagnosis can come at any time.

  • Yes. All clients receive a comprehensive report with diagnostic impressions, history, and recommendations that can be used for college, workplace, or disability-related supports.

  • Yes! I offer payment plans through Care Credit. Let me know if this is something that you’re interested in learning more about!

  • Yes. As a licensed psychologist, I’m trained and licensed to evaluate and diagnose autism in adults using clinical interviews and standardized assessments.

  • That’s incredibly common and something I account for. My approach centers on your internal experiences, not just outward behavior. I know masking is a survival strategy, not a sign you’re not autistic. As long as you’re willing to be honest about your experiences, the masking won’t impact your evaluation.

  • Even if you don’t receive a formal autism diagnosis, the evaluation can provide valuable insight and recommendations. My feedback is always validating, clear, and designed to help you move forward with understanding.

  • No! The perk of not working with insurance is that you are in full control of who learns about this process. I do not pressure you to share this diagnosis with anyone.
