Hi, I’m Salena.

I’m a licensed psychologist who specializes in helping adults who discovered their autism later in life. After working with autistic people for nearly a decade, I’ve come to know how hard it is to navigate a neurotypical world when you’re autistic.   • In this module you’ll learn exactly what autistic masking is and the specific ways it shows up for you. Then we’ll discuss the causes of autistic burnout and how masking makes things worse. You’ll walk away with a roadmap of how to pull yourself out of autistic burnout and step back into alignment. 

  • In this module you’ll learn more about the shutdown stage and the effects it has on you. We’ll talk about the emotional, physical and social impacts of autistic burnout. You’ll finish this module with a better understanding of your burnout symptoms.

  • In this module you’ll get to know yourself and your autistic traits better. We’ll discuss how to embrace your strengths, find the right support providers, and how to get support at work or in school. This module will walk you through learning your strengths and identifying areas you need support in.

  • In this module you’ll learn how to finally make the changes that have been needed for so long. We’ll cover how to unmask, set boundaries, and communicate your needs. By the end of this module, you’ll have set goals for areas or ways to unmask immediately (if that feels comfortable).

  • In this module, we’ll discuss how to be your true self and cultivate authentic relationships. We’ll dive into when and how to disclose your diagnosis, how to handle less-supportive responses, and how to build a supportive community. At the end of this module we’ll discuss how to create a self-care toolkit and prevent future periods of burnout.
